How long have you been working at Heartland Film? What did you do before joining the staff?

I’ve been working at Heartland Film for two years now. Before working here, I was a bookkeeper in New York City.

Complete the following sentence: I love my job because…

I love my job because I love the people I work with and working within the film industry. Since I started working here, I have learned so much about independent filmmaking and grown a deeper appreciation for the kinds of films that we show.

What were some of your favorite films growing up?

I’ve going to have to say Cinderella and The Lion King.

Name some of your all-time favorite films.

  1. Dirty Dancing (1987, Emile Ardolino)
  2. Pretty Woman (1990, Garry Marshall)

What are your favorite feel-good movies, guilty pleasure movies or films that make you laugh?

I love Something Borrowed (2011) and The Wedding Singer (1998).

Who are three of your favorite fictional characters?

Basically, I wish I was Olivia Pope from “Scandal”. I also really love Cinderella and all the characters on “Grey’s Anatomy”.

What do you like to do when you are not working or watching movies?

I love shopping and trying out new restaurants around the city.

What are your top three karaoke songs, or songs that you love to belt out when you are driving alone?

  1. “Genie in a Bottle” by Christina Aguilera
  2. “Tearin Up My Heart” by N’sync
  3. “Ghost” by Ellen Henderson

Is there a special talent and/or superpower that you wish you had?

As a girl, I dreamed of being an actress, so that would be a great special talent. For a superpower, I would love to be able to read peoples’ minds, but also be able to turn it off whenever I wanted. Teleporting would also be very cool.

You’re throwing a party and you can invite anyone in the world (dead or alive, famous, historical, etc.) –who would you invite and would the party have a theme?

I would love to invite Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Fallon and Selena Quintanilla. I would love for funny people to be there, so I would invite Ellen DeGeneres, Neil Patrick Harris, Adam Sandler and Kevin Hart. I think I would make it a fairy tale/Disney princess theme.

What advice would you give the younger version of yourself?

I would tell my younger self to save money and enjoy college because it goes by very quickly!
